Rice Upma


This is an all time favorite for my father.i wanted to make this and surprise my husband.It came out good and he liked it too.

Ingredients:
Sona masoori Rice----------------2 cups
Chenna Dhal----------------------2 spoons
Urad dhal------------------------2 spoons
Red chili------------------------3
mustard--------------------------1 spoon
water----------------------------2 cup
salt


Procedure:
Heat the oil and fry the seasonings.
Pour cold water and let it boil with seasonings.
Break the rice into small granules (operate the mixie in pulse)
Remove the powder and use only the granules.
Add in the water and pressure cook it for 3 whistles.
After removing the cooker from heat open it immediately after the sound stops.
Put one spoon ghee and mix it thoroughly and serve hot with coconut chutney.

Shri, Thanks for visiting my blog! I like Arisi Upma served with Kathrikai Gothsu, unbeleivable combination! You can make this with the cream of rice available here in stores, but may not taste as authentic as yours.
