Poori with Sagu

Poori is one of the most favorite dish for me and my husband.Now-a-days just to avoid oil i dont make often. After a very long time of 4 months i made it recently with his all time favorite sagu.I have never heard of this sabji before my wedding. My mother-in-law makes it too good. When she visited us i saw her making it and now my version also tastes good.

Ingredients for Poori:
Wheat Flour---------------3 cups
Sooji---------------------1 cup
salt
water

Ingredients for Sagu:

Potato-------------------2
Tomato-------------------1
Cumin seeds--------------1/2 spoon
Chopped Onion------------1 cup
garam masala-------------1 spoon
Chili powder-------------1 1/2 spoon (depends on how hot you want)
salt

Procedure for making poori:
Make the dough by mixing all the ingredients.
Do not let the dough to be dried.
Make small balls out of the dough and press it to small circles
Heat the oil in kadai, make sure the oil is well heated
Then fry them.

By adding sooji, the poori does not observe more oil.It tastes too good.

Procedure for making Sagu:
Pour little oil and heat the kadai
Add the cumin seeds and let it splutter.
Add the onions and fry them golden brown and then add tomatoes.
When they are semi cooked add the chopped potato and add water.Let them cook together.
When the potato is 3/4th cooked, add the garam masala and chili powder to it.
Stir it and allow it to boil till the potato gets completely cooked.
Its consistency will be thick ,and tastes great.
